Time-of-flight spectrometer for study of 14 MeV neutron scattering

  • 1. Leningradskij Tekhnologicheskij Inst. (USSR)

Description

Time-of-flight spectrometer with companion α - particle detection for study of 14 MeV neutron scattering is described. The spectrometer is developed to reduce the time of experimental data acquisition in studying neutron reactions. The interdependent spectrometer parameters are close to optimal ones. The ''free'' spectrometer parameters: time resolution, the detection threshold of recoil proton pulses in the neutron detector and the background coefficient are improved. The spectrometer flowsheet is given
