Nonmagnetic contributions to the variation of Tsub(c) with RE(Rh,Ru)4B4 compounds
Description
The variation of superconducting transition temperature (Tsub(c)) with rare earth (RE) previously reported for bct RE(Rhsub(0.85)Rusub(0.15))4B4 compounds is analyzed using the Abrikosov-Gor'kov (AG) theory. Progressively larger negative deviations from the AG prediction occur with increasing size of the RE ion. From Tsub(c) data presented for the nonmagnetic (La,Lu)(Rhsub(0.85)Rusub(0.15))4B4 system, the contribution of nonmagnetic factors to these deviations was found to be large. (orig.)
