High-Energy Ion Irradiation Effect on Optical Properties of Lithium Fluoride

  • 1. Atomic Ehergy Authority, Cairo, (Egypt)
  • 2. Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, 141980, Dubna, (Russian Federation)

Description

Radiation damage in nominally pure lithium fluoride irradiated with high-energy heavy ions have been studied by using optical absorption and luminescent (in-situ ionoluminescence, cathode-and photoluminescence) spectroscopy methods. The peculiarities of spectral content of luminescence generated with 1-3 MeV/AMU ions and other types of excitation (x-rays, low energy electrons and photons) are discussed
