High-Energy Ion Irradiation Effect on Optical Properties of Lithium Fluoride

Description
Radiation damage in nominally pure lithium fluoride irradiated with high-energy heavy ions have been studied by using optical absorption and luminescent (in-situ ionoluminescence, cathode-and photoluminescence) spectroscopy methods. The peculiarities of spectral content of luminescence generated with 1-3 MeV/AMU ions and other types of excitation (x-rays, low energy electrons and photons) are discussed
