Annual public information report about the Gravelines nuclear facilities - 2017. This report is written in compliance with articles L.125-15 and L.125-16 of the French environment code

Description

This safety report was established in accordance with articles L. 125-15 and L. 125-16 of the French environmental code. It presents, first, the NPPs (INB 96, 97 and 122, Nord (FR)) and the actions for the prevention and limitation of risks and their drawbacks: definitions and goals, risks prevention and limitation, nuclear safety, fire hazard control, industrial fluids use and hazards control, complementary safety evaluations carried out after the Fukushima accident, crisis management. Then, it presents the preventive measures implemented to monitor the environmental impacts of the facilities: intakes and discharges, monitoring of liquid and gaseous radioactive effluents, chemical effluents, heat pollution, nuisances, periodical examinations, internal and external controls, actions of improvement (training, administrative procedures). Next, the personnel radiation protection, the incidents and accidents that occurred during the past year (if any), and the results of radioactive and non-radioactive effluents analyses are reviewed. Finally, the radioactive and non-radioactive waste management as well as the actions of communication and public information made by the direction of the facility are presented. A glossary and the recommendations from the Committees for health, safety and working conditions are given in appendix.
