Determination of metal elements in mycorrhizal Marigold by neutron activation analysis

Description

It is well-known that a number of metals play important parts in a living body for catalytic action of enzyme, and so forth. And, traced metal elements taken into a living body food chain is thought to have a possibility to give various effects to the living body. Then, it is thought to be essential for understanding their possibility to flow into a living body to study on a behavior of such traced metal elements in soil-plant system of sources in food chain. In this paper, an effect of 16 kinds of metal elements containing such traced metal elements on mycorrhizal due to absorption into Marigold was investigated by using radio-activation analysis. As a result, it was found that after 30 days of dissemination Na, Rb, and Fe contents in mycorrhizal area was nearly twice higher than those in contrast area, and that the other metal elements showed nearly same value contents at testing period. And, it was also found that K and Rb contents in stalks and leaves, and Na, Rb, Cs, Th, La, Sm, and Yb contents in roots at mycorrhizal area were more than 1.5 times higher. (G.K.)
