Primary multifocal osteoclastoma or metastases following curettage

This study reports on the progress of an osteoclastoma. One year after curettage an extensive recidivation at the same site as the primary tumor was identified. 18 months after the curettage metastases were found in the 12th right rib, the 8th thoracic vertebra and in the calotte. At this time a solitary metastasis in the lung was found on the chest film. After surgical resection of these metastases, with the exception of the two in the calotte, the woman has felt well for the last six years. Recidivation of the tumor did not occur.
