Supernova models and neutrino signatures

Description
I will review the standard theory of core collapse supernovae with special emphasis on the weak interaction physics. The extraordinary neutrino fluxes produced as the neutron star cools can be responsible for important nucleosynthesis. There exists a sensitive relation between the yields and the muon and tauon neutrino temperatures. I discuss terrestrial detection of supernova neutrinos, including issues such as the deleptonization neutrinos, the nuclear physics of certain detectors, and signatures for anomalous physics such as vtau to ve oscillations
