Description
Manganites are in the limelight since a few decades due to their applicability in technology specially in magnetic sensors, magnetic recording, solid oxide fuel cell, catalysts and working substance for magnetic refrigeration etc. Magnetic refrigeration constructed on magneto-caloric effect (MCE) has several advantages over conventional gas compression technique namely simple construction, higher efficiency and eco-friendly. It is found that the large MCE is exhibited by La1-xCaxMnO3 polycrystalline samples with 0.20 ≤ x ≤ 0.33. In the present work manganites of perovskite structure La0.65Ca0.35MNO3 (LCMO) have prepared using sol gel technique by taking stoichiometric amount of La2O3, CaCO3 and MnO2. To understand the effect of sintering temperature on the structure XRD measurements were performed
