Simulators of liquid radioactive wastes. radiolysis of aqueous solutions of mixture of nitric and acetic acids
- 1. Inst. fizicheskoj khimii RAN, Moscow (Russian Federation)
Description
The gamma-radiolysis of aqueous solutions of the mixture of nitric and acetic acids- stimulators of aqueous-tailings solutions of the first cycle of reprocessing irradiated nuclear fuel (1) and radioactive wastes, subject to in-depth disposed (2). It is shown that in case of 1 G(-CH3COOH) it is directly proportional to acetic acid concentration in the mixture and does not depend on concentration of nitric acid therein. By the radiolysis 2 concentration of HNO3 also effects G(-CH3COOH). The change in acidity rate 1 is directly proportional to CH3COOH concentration in the mixture whereas in case of 2 it does not depend on both CH3OON and HNO3 concentration and constitutes G(-H+) = 2.84±0.76 ion/100 eV
