Description

Overheated vapor of yttrium(3) dipivaloylmethanate was investigated by mass-spectrometric method in 130-570 deg C range. It was established that gaseous phase was composed of Y(thd)3 molecules at temperature below ∼ 300 deg C; two molecular forms - Y(thd)3 and Y(thd)2 - coexisted in vapor in 300-450 degC range. The last one becomes dominating at temperatures above 450 deg C. The reasons of stability of Y(thd)2 radical are discussed
