Efficiency of pure charge application for production of high-quality structural steel

Description

Efficiency of 40Kh2N2MA high-quality steel production of important items of pure charge is compared with electroslag remelting of metal from conventional charge of uncontrolled composition. The use of pure charge for the production of 40Kh2N2MA high-quality structural steel shows the principle possibility to substitute the melting with pure charge for one of traditional methods of high-quality steel production - electroslag remelting - as regards the characteristics of structural strength and economic efficiency, provided the steel is meant to be treated with an average level of strength at high toughness and cold resistance
