Description

After the success of statistical phase-space - or thermodynamic description of nuclear multifragmentation a long list of deeper insights and new problems emerges. This involves specific nuclear physics problems as also generic properties of phase-transitions in and the fragmentation of finite equilibrised many-body systems under the action of longrange forces which are here simply listed.
