Thermodynamic analysis of PBMR plant - abs02

  • 1. Nuclear Engineering Department, Hacettepe University, Beytepe 06532, Ankara (Turkey)

Description

Thermodynamic analysis of PBMR (direct cycle) and MPBR (indirect cycle) are done for the overall power plant thermal efficiency with emphasis on the effects of various components on the thermal design. For a limiting maximum temperature and pressure for the system and a given ambient temperature, the thermodynamic analysis of the power plant is performed. The effects of working pressure on the system design parameters are studied along with the possible optimum design for the components. The effects of the working pressure of the system on the overall plant thermal efficiency and component sizes and weights are presented. (authors)
