Radiation flux measuring device
Description
The radiation flux measuring device makes use of statistic deviations of a radiation detector, such as a nuclear fission chamber, as unit of radiation flux. It gives out an output signal with an alternating current component which characterizes the radiation flux. The output signal is given out on an attenuation circuit. The output signal created by the attenuation circuit is kept constant by a feedback circuit such as an alternating current amplifier with rectangular transformer or square circuit and integrator. Furthermore, a direct-current amplifier is connected to the attenuation circuit on which a signal can be derived which is characteristic for the logarithm of the alternating current component. This signal is then characteristic of the actual effective value or the r.m.s. value of the statistic deviations. (DG/LH)

Die Strahlungsfluss-Messanordnung nutzt statistische Schwankungen eines Strahlungsdetektors, wie z.B. einer Kernspaltungs-Kammer, als Mass des Strahlungsflusses aus. Er gibt ein Ausgangssignal mit einer Wechselstromkomponente ab, die den Strahlungsfluss kennzeichnet. Das Ausgangssignal wird an eine Daempfungsschaltung abgegeben. Das von der Daempfungsschaltung erzeugte Ausgangssignal wird von einer Rueckkopplungsschaltung, wie einem Wechselstromverstaerker mit Rechteckumformer oder Quadrierschaltung und Integrator, konstant gehalten. Weiterhin ist mit der Daempfungsschaltung ein Gleichstromverstaerker verbunden, an dem ein Signal abgeleitet werden kann, welches kennzeichnend fuer den Logarithmus der Wechselstromkomponente ist. Dieses Signal ist dann charakteristisch fuer den tatsaechlichen Effektivwert bzw. den quadratischen Mittelwert der statistischen Schwankungen. (DG)Files
