Ultra-low-field SQUID magnetic measurements on high temperature ceramic YBaCuO superconductors
Description
Ultralow-field magnetic measurements performed on a ceramic sample of YBaCuO are presented. Attention is given to the remanent moment which appears when the magnetic field is turned off after field cooling. The results are compared to three models proposed to account for the magnetic properties of the new superconductors: simple flux pinning as in conventional Type II superconductors, a model with a superconducting shell or crust surrounding a normal core in each grain, and a granular superconductor or superconductive glass model. 17 references
