Influence of certain factors on catalytic oxidation of isopropylbenzene
- 1. All-Union Sci-Res. Institute of Petrochemical Processes
Description
This paper examines the influence of the catalyst concentration and temperature on the oxidation kinetics and also on the yield of the end product cumenyl hydroperoxide (CHP). It is shown that the catalytic activity of salt catalysis in oxidation of isopropylbenzene depends on their influence on decomposition of the hydroperoxide. The influence of temperature on the kinetics of accumulation of hydroperoxide oxygen-containing products of isopropylbenzene (IPB) oxidation was studied in the presence of zinc and cadmium naphthenates in 1 X 10-3 M concentration at temperatures in the range 100-140 degrees
