Description
The exergy efficiency, ηex, and the thermoeconomic effectiveness, ηec, are used as two characteristic indexes to describe the thermodynamic and thermoeconomic performance for an energy system respectively. Several typical substructural patterns are deducted from actual energy system, and the characteristics of each pattern are related with characteristics of its units by exergy and thermoeconomic analysis. The method and the patterns presented in this paper is useful for system analysis, automatic decomposition and composition technique of an energy system
