Making bio-economy the engine of circular and decarbonized economy in the Grand-Est region. Bio-economy by and for actors of the Grand-Est region - Practical guide. Employment in bio-economy in the Grand-Est region - Job dynamics, regional and territorial specializations

Description

A first report defines the bio-economy (origins, institutional acknowledgement, identification of several categories of bio-economy), and states the opinion of the Grand-Est CESER (regional economic, social and environmental Council) through a presentation of four strategic axes: to identify, protect, and sustain regional bio-resources, to inform, heighten awareness and educate about bio-economy, to steer and govern together while taking reluctances and resistances with respect to bio-economy into account, and to respond to questions and to support needs of economic actors and of the society. A synthesis is also provided which addresses context, observations, and recommendations. A second report is a practical guide which identifies and discusses action levers for the bio-economy in the Grand-Est region, and proposes an overview of regional assets for the development of bio-economy (assets, key figures, challenges, future levers, actions paths for territories, examples) in different sectors (sustainable agriculture, sustainable food, forest and wood industry, chemistry and bio-sourced materials, bio-energy). The third report addresses perspectives of job development related to the development of bio-economy in the region: volume and evolution dynamics (with respect to other French regions, job evolution during pas years, infra-regional distribution of the bio-economy, job dynamics in territories), and main fields of bio-economy (job distribution per sector, details per bio-economy sub-sectors, infra-regional heterogeneities)
