Evaluation of usefulness of 99mTc-GSA scintigraphy in hepatitis C treated with alpha interferon
- 1. Makita General Hospital, Tokyo (Japan)
Description
To evaluate hepatic function before and after treatment with alpha interferon, 99mTc-GSA scintigraphy was performed in seven patients with hepatitis C. The ratios of HH 15 and LHL 15 in 99mTc-GSA scintigraphy were well correlated with the blood laboratory test (GPT) before and after treatment. The uptake of 99mTc-GSA depends on the number of hepatic cells. 99mTc-GSA scintigraphy was useful for evaluating potential liver function after treatment. (author)
