Phenomenology of weakly interacting particles
Description
In this thesis several different approaches to searching for physics beyond the standard model are considered in detail. The deviations from the standard model could be as trivial as adding mass terms to the neutrinos or adding a second Higgs particle or as profound as changing the gauge group of the strong interaction or positing a mirror universe. All involve physics at readily accessible energies, and all lead to consequences which already could have been detected or could be detected in the near future
