Information base for waste repository design. Volume 2. Equipment performance requirements
Description
This report describes equipment requirements for the operation of a nuclear waste repository. Only equipment which can significatnly affect nuclear safety was considered. A conceptual repository layout is presented and mining and ventilation methods are reviewed. Major emphasis is placed on nuclear waste handling operations, since these are peculiar to the situation at hand. A discussion of existing applicable regulations is also included
