Description
A comparative study on retentive peculiarities of different radiators in testes is reported. The equations fitted to describe the retentive fractions of α radiator 235U and β radiator 147Pm as well as γ radiator 134Cs respectively have been obtained. The half-life components were calculated to be T1/2 = 197 d for 235U, T1/2 = 76d for 147Pm, and only 5.1 d for 134Cs. Comparative study on reproductive toxicity induced by different radiators showed that internal contamination with different radiators could result in sperm abnormality. For different radiators such as 235U, 147Pm and 134Cs, the rates of sperm abnormality induced by 1 cGy cumulative absorption dose were different: the comparative value of reproductive toxicity was α:β:γ 28:3:1. Results indicated that internal contamination by different radiators could damage genetic materials and cause chromosome aberrations in spermatogonia. By comparison between different radiators, the frequencies of chromosome aberrations induced by 1 cGy cumulative absorption dose were significantly different: the comparative value of reproductive toxicity was α:β:γ = 29:4:1
