Description

The effect of super low pulse-modulated electromagnetic radiation (the energy flux density - 10 μW/cm2; carrier density - 915 MHz; modulation frequencies are 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, 16 and 20 Hz) on the activity of the basic ferment of the monoamine deamination - the monoamine oxidase A - is studied in the experiments on rats-males. Increase in the ferment activity in the hypothalamus reached its maximum value at the modulation frequency of 6 Hz corresponding to 160 % (p < 0.01) of the control frequency, whereas at the modulation frequency of 20 Hz the decrease in the ferment activity up to 78 % (p < 0.01) is noted. The impact of the studied radiation on the ferment activity in the hyppocampe was primarily activating one; the maximum increase in the ferment activity up to 174 % (p < 0.01) was registered at the modulation frequency of 4 Hz
