Control Method of Boron Concentration for Daily Load-following Operation
Description
In present, load-following technologies have been being developed for Advanced Power Reactor Plus (APR+). One of them, an automatic controller which is able to control reactor average temperature and axial power distribution was developed. In this paper, two kinds of control methods on boron concentration were introduced. And they were applied to daily load-following simulations in order to search a suitable boron control method for the automatic controller. In this study, two kinds of boron control methods for daily load-following operation are proposed and they were applied to developed automatic controller. And each simulation of two boron control methods was performed during daily load-following operation in order to confirm how the each control method affects the performance of the automatic controller. After considering the simulation results, we reached this conclusion. Considering the CEA's integrity and life time, it is better to use the second boron control method. In the future, we are going to perform the applicability of the second control method to the real plant operation procedure
