Experimental program to study the mechanical properties of beryllium. A status report
Description
Mechanical properties of Be were studied by launching flyers by a gas gun to strike a Be target backed by a LiF window. The motion of the Be-LiF interface was monitored. The effect of the yield strength of the LiF was negligible
