Safety problems
Description
Safety control and management of tritium, radiation and induced activities, and system safety of blanket and primary cooling systems of fission suppressed-type hybrids are studies being carried out in Japan. Apart from the system safety studies related to a certain design, general system safety studies are also in progress. A table shows safety-related items to be studied. Ecological studies have been started, and through these studies, tritium levels will be investigated for future uses, such as ecological monitoring. The studies will contribute to preparation of a guideline for tritium handling in future fusion facilities in Japan
