Microscopy and spectroscopy studies of oxide nanostructures
Description
MoOx nanostructures are grown by various physical (PVD, PLD and MBE) and chemical methods (CVD). The growth conditions are optimized to synthesize various types of nanostructures: Alpha-MoO3, Beta-MoO3, Silver-decorated MoO3, Ag embedded in SiOx, etc. Nanostructured Al2O3 particles (using laser ablation in liquid media). The materials are characterized by electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, scanning and transmission electron microscopy and spectroscopy and UV-Vis spectroscopy. SEM-EDS measurements showed that Au acts as better catalyst for the growth of MoOx nanostructures. (author)
