The Ninth Annual Technical Conference of the American Society for Composites was held on September 20--22, 1994, at the University of Delaware, John M. Clayton Conference Center, Newark, Delaware. Technical papers were presented on a broad range of topics that range across the entire scope of interest of polymer, metal and ceramic matrix composites. Topics included biomedical and intelligent composites, mechanical behavior, textile structural composites, joining, interfaces, design, plates and shells, environmental effects and processing. One hundred and forty one papers have been processed separately for inclusion on the data base
