Description
The paper is concerned with an evaluation of the structural response of a swing-disk steam-isolation valve in the event of an emergency closure, such as postulated in conjunction with a pipe break in a main steam line of a nuclear power station. Described are the analytical approach, the results obtained from the dynamic analysis, and the acceptance criteria adopted for evaluating the results. (Auth.)
