Studies on autoionization states of Sm by 3-step resonance photoionization

  • 1. Laboratory for Quantum Optics, Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute P.O. Box, 105, Yusong, Taejon, 305-600 (Korea, Republic of)

Description

Using 3-step resonance photoionization, we investigated the autoionization states of atomic samarium in the region of 48800 cm-1-52700 cm-1. As an experimental result, we observed more than sixty autoionization states in the investigated range. In addition, we could obtain the resonance energies, the linewidths, and q-parameters of the observed autoionization states by fitting the spectra with Fano's formula
