On the mechanism of the anodic dissolution of molybdenum in water electrolytes
- 1. AN SSSR, Moscow. Inst. Fizicheskoj Khimii
Description
Anodic behaviour of molybdenum in aqueous buffer solutions at the background of sodium sulfate has been studied. Kinetic parameters of its dissolving are determined. It is shown that they depend both on hydroxyl ion concentration and on the value of anodic current density. Mechanism of anodic dissolution of molybdenum is suggested. It is shown that molybdenum corrosion in neutral solutions in the presence of air oxygen proceeds according to repassivation mechanism
