The health benefits from radiation therapy of tumours of the alimentary tract are limited to mere palliative effects. Discussed are the various problems surrounding the therapeutic use of radiation as well as the radiotherapeutic strategies followed in tumours of the individual organs pertaining to this system, including those for carcinomas of the esophagus, stomach, pancreas, bile duct and colorectal region. Abstract (German)

Die Behandlung von Tumoren des Verdauungstraktes mit Strahlentherapie hat nur palliative Wirkung. Es wird ueber strahlentherapeutische Probleme und ueber Strahlenbehandlung der entsprechenden Organtumore wie Oesophagus-, Magen-, Pankreas-, Gallengangs- und kolorektale Karzinome berichtet. (GDG)
