Description

The objective of this study was to characterize the basalt in order to study its thermal/mechanical response. Data obtained from this work are intended to help understand the results of the in situ testing at the NSTF and to provide information relating NSTF conditions within Pomona basalt to projected repository conditions within Umtanum basalt. This report presents the results from the thermal/mechanical property tests on Area 3 specimens. 46 figs., 40 tabs
