Effect of physicochemical properties of cadmium hydroxide on its electrochemical behaviour in alkaline solutions

Description

Various samples of β-modification of cadmium hydrooxide are obtained and their structural characteristics are studied, (crystal lattice period, block dimensions, value of specific surface according to BEhT, content of structural and nonstructural water in samples). The effect of physicochemical properties of studied samples of cadmium hydrooxide on the process of its cathode reduction in alkali is studied. Shown is a connection between dispersion of cadmium hydrooxide, the rate of its chemical dissolusion and electrochemical activity
