Design and installation of a pilot-plant to vitrify ICPP-simulated calcined high-level waste
Description
A pilot-plant has been constructed to test the vitrification of simulated high-level calcined waste. Specifications of major system components including the glass melter, the feed system, the off-gas system, the canister handling system, and instrumentation are presented. Instructions for startup, shutdown, and safety procedures are outlined in appendices
