This paper describes the design of the Safety Control System - Nuclear (SCS ‐ N) architecture of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER). For that purpose, the applicable constraints and the selected equipment, based on the use of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products, required to implement the safety functions are described
