Process for processing radioactive waste
Description
In order to recover uranium and plutonium from solid waste, particularly from glove-boxes, this waste is dissolved after being reduced in size. The undissolved fission products are centrifuged out. The solvents are evaporated, condensed and returned to the process. The remaining plastic melt is filled into barrels and stored after cooling off. (orig.)

Zur Rueckgewinnung von Uran und Plutonium aus festen Rohabfaellen, insbesondere aus Handschuhboxen werden diese Abfaelle nach Zerkleinerung aufgeloest. Die nicht geloesten Spaltstoffe werden auszentrifugiert. Die Loesungsmittel werden ausgedampft, kondensiert und in den Prozess zurueckgefuehrt. Die verbleibende Kunststoffschmelze wird in Faesser abgefuellt und nach dem Erkalten endgelagert. (orig.)Files
