Reflected light amplification in a spreading laser plasma

  • 1. AN SSSR, Moscow. Fizicheskij Inst.

Description

The amplification of light reflected from a dense plasma as a result of stimulated scattering in a dispersing plasma corona is considered. Change of density perturbations, intensities of incident and reflected light in space has been investigated, reflection factor has been found. It is shown that the intensity of the radiation reaching the dense layers of the plasma depends on the distance over which the plasma flow varies and does not depend on the intensity of the incident radiation, providing the latter exceeds a certain value
