Alternatives in the nuclear waste question - an ethical perspective. Discussion points
Description
Ethical aspect of nuclear waste disposal are reviewed in this report, that is prepared to serve as a discussion initiator. Two major principles are discussed: the fair sharing of risks and resources between generations, and the democratic credibility of decisions with very far range in time. The study also examines alternative strategies to the KBS-3 plan for disposing the nuclear waste, e.g. very deep boreholes, long tunnels, transmutation
