The nuclear surface
Description
Nuclear scattering and reactions which give information on the nuclear surface are described. These processes include elastic scattering of electrons and high energy protons, pion reactions with nuclei, and scattering of alpha-particles and heavy ions. The interpretation of the experimental data is examined in order to show which regions of the nucleus and which moments of the density distribution are determined by a particular method. Results are compared with theories of the nuclear surface
