Effect of bombardment with accelerated ions on magnetic properties of carbonyl iron of the VK-T grade

Description
Magnetic characteristics of the cores manufactured from carbonyl iron powders of the VK-T grade have been studied after exposure with accelerated 30-keV Ar+ ion beams. It is established that the ion-beam treatment of carbonyl iron powders with certain parameters of irradiation increases its saturation magnetization by 1.8% and provides the coil quality factor enhancement of inductors 5-10 times for radio-electronic devices with a core made of ''dielectric – carbonyl iron' composite in a frequency range of 10– 5000 kHz.
