Description
In order to gain an insight into the effects on coordination geometry and complex stabilities of factors such as ring size and functional group substituent in macrocyclic polythioether ligands, a number of technetium chelates with the thiacrown ethers 1,4,8,11-tetrathiacyclotetradecane (14S4), 1,5,9,13-tetrathiacyclohexadecane (16S4), 1,5,9,13-tetrathia-cyclohexadecane-3,11-diol (16S4-(OH)2) and 1,4,7,10,13,16-hexathiacyclooctadecane (18S6) were synthesized. Some representatives were characterized by X-ray crystal structure determination. (orig.)
