Description
The aim of the article is the study of selected potentially toxic elements distribution in soils of the Zahorska nizina Lowland and of the Male Karpaty Mts. foothill. Further aim was to present a non-conventional way of magnetic susceptibility utilizing, i.e. the soil magnetometry. In presented study the low relationship between contents of potentially toxic elements and magnetic susceptibility in soils was found. The use of soil magnetometry is evidently limited in the case of the evaluation of potentially toxic elements distribution in soils with low organic matter content, e.g. in sandy soils. (authors)
