Influence of radioactive contamination to agricultural products due to wet deposition during an acute release of radionuclides to the environment

  • 1. KAERI, Daejon (Korea, Republic of)

Description

The previous dynamic food chain model DYNACON is improved with reviewing on the deposition and foliar interception of radionuclides focusing on wet processes. Using the improved model, the influence of radioactive contamination in agricultural products due to precipitation during an acute release to the environment is investigated. Contamination levels in agricultural products are due to a correlative relation between deposition on the ground and foliar interception depending on a variety of factors such as precipitation rate and radionuclides
