Description
The shield block (SB) full scale prototype (FSP) should be designed based on the current design pattern, fulfill its physical function, and meet the design requirements of blanket interface. Moreover, the R and D results of the key manufacturing technologies should be fully considered in the SB FSP design, particularly the technology of deep drilling, TIG welding, NDT and etc. These R and D results provide strong support for the design. The manufacturing of the SB FSP is the necessity for the procurement agreement (PA) signing, and it also provides a sound basis for PA accomplishment. (authors)
