This report first presents the current status of applicable arrangements and the different involved actors in terms of transparency and information on nuclear safety (regulatory arrangements, ASN actions, National network of environment radioactivity measurement) and then presents the regulatory arrangements related to underground and surface water quality surveillance (European context, law and regulation evolution, requirements). It gives an assessment of the application of regulatory arrangements (global assessment, case of ground waters), gives an overview of arrangements concerning public information (public consultation, annual report, IRSN reports), and describes the various actions undertaken by the IRSN (regulation reviewing, implementation of an environment radioactivity scale or index, environment-related event declaration, inspections with sampling and measurements, radioactivity measurement laboratory agreements)
