An analog low noise read-out circuit for semiconductor detectors
Description
An analog low noise circuit for the readout from semiconductor detectors has been designed and the results of its initial implementation on a 3 μm polysilicon CMOS chip are described. It consists of a charge preamplifier followed by shaper and output stages. The amplifier uses a folded cascade architecture. The design of each stage is discussed and preliminary test results are given. (orig.)
