A semi microscopic interpretation of boson-fermi symmetries

  • 1. National Superconducting Cyclotron Lab.

Description

The relation is discussed between a description of odd-mass nuclei in terms of boson-fermi symmetries and a description in terms of the semi-microscopic IBFA model. This relation can be exploited to put strong constraints on the allowed range of values of the parameters in the symmetry description. In addition, predictions are obtained for the mass regions where symmetries might be expected
