Peculiarities of field and temperature dependences of surface impedance of high temperature superconductors La1,8Sr0,2CuO4 and YBa2Cu3O7 below Ts

Description

Investigation into electrodynamic properties lower than the superconducting transition temperature is conducted in the presence of magnetic field of up to 716 kA/m using polycrystalline samples of La1.8Sr0.2CuO4 with Tc=30 K and YBa2Cu3O7 with Tc=87 K. The field and temperature dependences of the surface impedance obtained allowed one to evaluate the first critical field magnitude which made up Hc=9.6 kA/m for YBa2Cu3O7. The presence of bends in the dependences investigated is supposedly explained by the existence of several energy gaps
