A transit time instrument for measurements on beam ions in a strong axial magnetic field
Description
An instrument for measurements on beam ions in a strong axial magnetic field is presented. Information on the types of ions and an estimate of their perpendicular energy is obtained. The experiments were carried out with a hydrogen ion beam extracted from an ECR source. (orig.)
